Lily Allen has been announced MySpace Secret show may 11th
Lily Allen has been announced as the next act for MySpace's hugely popular Secret Show series performing an exclusive gig at an undisclosed London venue on May 11.
The UK show is the third and final leg of Lily's global MySpace Secret Shows tour and follows events in Tokyo and New York where overwhelming demand saw fans clamouring to make it into the venue.
Lily says: "The fans at the Tokyo and New York MySpace Secret Shows were totally amazing and I expect nothing less from the home crowd.
"To give it an extra layer of excitement I'm asking fans to dress as London Tube stations - but they won't know exactly where I'll be performing until the day."
The event also celebrates the release of her new single Not Fair, taken from her platinum selling No 1 album, It's Not Me It's You, which itself premiered exclusively on MySpace earlier this year.
Dom Cook, Head of Entertainment at MySpace UK, says: "Lily epitomises what MySpace is about - she's cool, she's sassy and she never forgets her friends.
"MySpace Secret Shows are all about bringing fans closer to the artists they love and taking the experience they have online, offline. Lily's very well-loved so we're expecting this event to be one of the most popular we've hosted."
The social portal site originally helped Lily's rise to fame, using it as a way to introduce her songs. She quickly grew a loyal online fan following, which helped kick-off her career in 2005.
Lily Allen is New Face of Chanel Handbags
Lily Allen might be a bit of a hot mess, but to Karl Lagerfeld, she’s a muse!
He’s just picked Lily to be the next face of Chanel. Elle UK states that it’s not all that surprising since Lily is always seated first row at his shows, and barely leaves the house without one of her Chanel bags.
Lily will front the new handbag campaign, and the two will shoot next week in London. So why Lily?
Karl says, “She’s fun!”
Oh, she’s fun all right! And to Lily’s defense, she looks the most put-together we’ve ever seen her! Maybe being the face of the handbag line will motivate Lily to stay classy.
Karl Lagerfeld going for the young and fun girl poses the question: Is he trying to target a younger demographic? And if so, is he gonna target the younger demographics budget?
An average girl is not gonna be able to afford a $2500 especially at a time of an economic recession. Karl has previously mentioned that he doesn't care to change his prices due to the economy, but has he had a change of heart?
